1. Stop setting unrealistic expectations for yourself.
You’re setting yourself up for failure if you decide to lose 50 pounds over the next six months. Instead, create a realistic goal of joining a gym and actually getting there three times a week.
2. Stop blaming yourself.
You forgive others, don’t you? How about forgiving yourself?
3. Stop trying to please everybody.
As women, our default is trying to make everyone happy. That’s an impossible goal, so give it up.
4. Stop internalizing everyone else’s problems.
Others are responsible for solving their own problems. You can support them, but respect them enough to let them them solve their own problems.
5. Stop comparing yourself with others.
Rather than looking at others as your standard, just be the best YOU that you can be.
