Once again, the year ticks down and we ask ourselves, “Where did it go?” The more important question is, “What did I learn?”

Here is my answer to that question.

Five Things I Learned This Year

1. Make a decision and run with it.

Don’t wait until the circumstances are perfect. Decide and go for it!

2. Have a serious budget for self-education.

Invest in yourself. Read a lot. Attend seminars. Participate in retreats.

3. Keep up with technology.

Don’t become a dinosaur. Tech isn’t tough if you keep up.

4. Don't take yourself too seriously.

When people tell me how great I am, maybe they’re just flattering me.
