Employees hate it when all the good projects, perks and promotions consistently go to the same individuals… who often don’t deserve them. Be sure that you reward everyone on your team in proportion to their contribution.
3. Mutual respect.
Your staff wants to feel respect FOR you and FROM you. Once you establish this in both directions, you’ve got a loyal employee who will give you all she’s got.
4. Personal time.
Just because you work crazy hours, doesn’t mean that you should have that expectation of your staff.
5. Pride in the organization.
Give your employees a reason to boast about their workplace. If they have the sense that they’re on a winning team, they’ll share it with the world!
